Re: AZL 1957
Mine got holes in it years ago. I drove it in very bad weather all the time though so I wasn't surprised. So much salty spray.

Re: AZL 1957
Yesterday i had repaired some rusty spots. First Dremel with steel brush, than rust-remover/primer, and a bit of paint an hour later. It will hold up a while.

Re: AZL 1957
Think I need to get myself a Dremel and make a start on a few areas that require some work. Other areas may require something more 'heavy duty' than a Dremel

Re: AZL 1957
This morning the car did start but it didn't want to rev up. Normally it is a bit sluggish for the first km or so. But today i couldn't get it over 25KmH. So i turned back to home and barely made it back up the hill. I suspected the main jet. So coming home i took the carb apart and cleaned the jets. I had to turn the idle speed up a bit. Then i gave the sprak plug and coil contacts a clean and it seems to run ok again. So let's wait wat it does tomorrow morning.

Re: AZL 1957
Did run ok again, only it had sometimes the idle dropping down just till cut out. So i cleaned the idle jet again. See how it turns out tomorrow.

Re: AZL 1957
I drilled out the idle jet (0,45mm) it was rather blocked. The car is running fine again.

Re: AZL 1957
New problem, same cause i think. I was at a traffic light and the car didn't want to rev up. With a lot of bangs and puffs i just managed to get the centrifugal clutch to engage. The car won't go faster than a slow walking speed. I managed the last 400 meter to work. Later i took the carb out and my boss did drive me home. Will put the carb in the ultra-sound cleaner this evening. I think it wasn't ever restored or properly cleaned.

Re: AZL 1957
A mix of hot water and St.Marc. Works rather well. The water was completly black afterwards. Put it back tomorrow to test.
