They are very easy to make you need felt 27cm wide and the lenght requiered. Then they are sewn at about 1 cm from the edge over the lenght. Then the spiraled wires are pulled in and stapeled at both ends...ready.

About 1mm thick wire rolled in a long spiral. A winding every 3 or 4 cms. At both ends there is bend a little 90 degree angle so it won't slid out of the staple. The wires start about 2 cm of the edge of the felt tube. So you have a space left over the fits over the metal heater tubes.

Did wash the ivory 57 today, it was really dirty. Looks rather shiny now exept for the bonnet and around the windscreen. I will have a go at it with the turtlewax tomorrow.
