This morning minus 8,5 degrees. Choke, 1 pull at the starter buttton VROOOM. It is great those old 6 volt things.
Even the engine is unrestored as is everything under the bonnet....

Now it's warmer outside the car is a bit reluctant in starting. So i took the spark plugs out for a little clean. And indeed one of them had some deposit build up. Wirebrushed them. It is not carbon i think because they were both nice burned brown. Well we will see if it helped tomorrow morning. Thightend some nuts and bolts. For the rest all looked the usual. Dirty but ok. ;-)

I am preparing a "new " centrifugal clutch unit for the green 57. Geo helped me cleaning the clutch drum on the lathe. THANKS. ;)
Here all the units parts only thing not here the special left threaded so called H-nut and the centrifugal clutch shoes who are on the cars flywheel.

Cool! Never driven one. But I want it on my - 58. A couple of days ago I got a complete centrifugal clutch unit, just need to find a box with the threaded input shaft. Or maybe just a shaft and change it?

How many different versions are there?

As far as i know there are 2 versions one for the 2cv and one for the ami. De difference is in the centrifugal shoes those of the ami are a few mm wider. But with some extra rings between engine and gearbox you can fit them too. And the later versions have a clutch plate with more smaller spline. You can swap the input shaft but the front bearing of the gearbox has to go out. There is a specially shaped tin ring that holds the oil back. Between engine and gearbox are thick spacers. It's nice to drive in city traffic. But in off-road conditions it can be a pain in the ass. The clutch cuts of at low revolutions. In mountain use it can be tricky too.
