I've chucked various things in it, it is currently neat so as powerful as it can be, it may take some metal off too, not decided yet. There is plenty of meat on the wing bracket studs so don't think it will harm them...
Going to experiment with small nuts & bolts but out now till monday, but if you want to bring them round in the week and stick them in a pot of it you most welcome!

Thanks very much, I think we have some of that brick cleaner at work, which is where I'm off to now so I might have an experiment of my own if so, if not I might come and try it, thanks.

Nice parcel arrived from France - seems RENOV 2CV MEHARI 36 are good people to deal with :D

So, a few mods to do, holes to move, make & fill, most obviously for the lower vents & master cylinder. Only disapointment is the ribs are slightly 'fatter' with more domed ends than original but that is being really picky...

Hi All, can any one tell me what this is please?

It appears to be a lead seal but has no visible markings on it. It is attached to the right hand (panel alignment?) hole on the bottom flange of the bulkhead...

Is it anything to do with Citroen? Or the fact that the van appears to be a PO?
Should I try to preserve it as a unique feature or is that counting just too many rivets

It's a balance weight, like what is used to keep wheels in balance, it keeps the suspension level when cornering due to the moment of pendulum.
Citroen really did know what they where doing, best to leave it on.

Blimey! Nearly dropped a bollock there - was gonna lop it off. D'u think there should be one on the other side....? i'd hate to hit 40mph and find the the NAZU uncontrolable?!

I think this is probably 'aftermarket' but I am intrigued as to why the thing should have had a seal attached to it...

I remember in the old day's , that my father had a photocamera with a such a seal attatched to it.
It was for taking the camera abroad into Germany or Belgium or so and it was to show the customs of the countries he visited, that tax was payed for that camera in the Netherlands .( :? Which Limburg was part of in those days. :?)

Having seen this today I'm pleased I didn't buy it way back when. It'll be nice to see it once its done, though. Lots of work and lots of welding needed.
