Geo, I believe it is a PO one, it has the armour under the engine as well.
Spent some time @ the w/e dismantling a bonnet hinge to head rail section saved from an 80's car, practicing with my new & expensive spot weld cutters (big twist drill seemed to work almost as well
) finding out how it is put together. One of the challenges is that the top of the transvers box section just under the vent flap, that carries the wiper motor frame, has rusted thru (on the van). It would be messy & fiddly, and probably not succesful, to try and weld a strip along there, plus I can't see what damage has occured inside it (apart from one of the 8mm wiper bolts shearing coz it was solid). So I have to get in there. The outer screen panel on the van includes the cab roof as far as I can see, which is a shame as the only serious rust in it is @ the bonnet hinge and to get into the transvers box under the vent I'm going to have to cut into it. 
The windscreen/cab roof panel appears to be the 'last on' one so I can only replace the box propperly by removing it. Roy does a bonnet hinge repair panel that goes from 1/2 way up the vent flap to the seam below the bonnet hinge so that might be the way to go.'Scuse the prattling but it helps sort out the order of things in my mind + you guys may spot stuff I miss
