Post Re: 1979 Bleu Azurite Dyane
Ok so I had my accident on Sept 5th 2009 ( http://ORIFLeftLef.blogspot.com ) and haven't been able to drive since.

The dyane has been started about once a month and drained of the copious amounts of water that build up inside her! Went to the Drs today who said I can start to put weight on my foot which in my mind meant you can start to drive!

Started the car, ran her for a bit, checked the oil (not too low at all), topped her up, filled her with petrol and took her for a short (fifteen minute) drive and boy have I missed driving her!

Apart from one allmighty (what sounded like a ) backfire, she drove like a dream. The nearside suspension cylinder creaked twice but once I'd gone over some bumps all seemed fine.

Ah the joys of motoring :D

whoops http://orifleftleg.blogspot.com (as in open reduction internal fixation to the left leg)

Yeah the pain reminds me that I shouldn't be doing too much. Not helped by the fact my house (which I've not lived in since the accident) is freezing. It's Victorian so it'll probably take a couple of days to warm it back up.

Bloody Direct.Gov is giving me a heartattack. Alex's Jazz was stupidly overdue on the MOT because she forgot about it so I thought I'd check on the Dyane and the website says...

Now I know Jono put 12months on it before I got it but until I can find the pass sheet I daren't take her out again

I didn't know you could get MOT details online. That's interesting. Anyway, it was successfully MOTd on around the 25th (ish) of June. You must have the MOT cert, because you must have taxed it since you got it (though if you did it online you wouldn't have needed the MOT cert, but I wouldn't have thought it would have let you tax it without MOT).

Yeah I know it was done, its me loosing track of the bloody sheet :( Just if I get stopped I don't fancy being fined for not being able to produce an MOT... Hmm I'll continue digging.

The MOT history online should show ALL computerised tests, though...

unless for some reason the garage never got round to lodging a pass certificate or the system was down at the time. I've sent an e-mail request to work to get them to e-mail me back a copy of the certificate if I remembered to send them a copy.

If the system was down, and they forgot to book it when it came back up, then - yup - but that's then also going to show as having no current ticket for tax & Mr Plod.
