Post Re: 1979 Bleu Azurite Dyane
Well, since I got a Citroen C4 daily driver I haven't driven the Dyane. She's sat in the garage out of the weather. I've been meaning to find her a home and planned to look after her well into her old age but I'm afraid now is the time she's gotta go. I want to drive her but I can't afford to at the minute as I'm still paying off debts from when I was out of action.

The tax is about to run out which I assume means the MOT isn't far off either. She had all of the work done above but she could still do with a new roof and the oil seals in the engine sorting (although I do know of a VERY reasonable Dyane engine/gearbox about to come to the market).

Mum has stolen a couple of wheels from it but I'm sure we could source something if needs be.

I'm not an idiot and I know I won't get a fortune for her but there has been a fair bit of cash ploughed into it (mostly the floors and C-Pillar which were completely gone).

A Citroen C4... like this one? ;)

Saw one up close last weekend, had a cool (original) thermometer gauge on top of the radiator and it was unbelievably smooth and quiet :)

Lol no not that kind of C4.

I'll probably buy/get mums red spesh when she replaces it in a few years so it's not the end of 602ing for me but I can't afford to run two cars, pay off debts, run a residential letting and save up for an engagement ring at the minute. Of that list the Dyane unfortunately is at the bottom.

I'm sure after many years of marriage the list will change around ;)

I really liked that Dyane when I owned it for 2 weeks in '09. I'd buy it back if it could. Hope it goes to a good home!
