You win I wonder if you have ever encountered one in your citroen boat A Papua New Guinean friend of mine was taught as a kid that when diving if you are ever approached by a shark to blow a 'raspberry' towards it. I had such an experience whist doing a scuba course, and can assure you the raspberry didn't come out my mouth!!! Harley

Re: The Grey Nurse
Back on topic: It surprises me to see all the replacement sills and toe board with drainage holes in them... When I did my car I folded/made all the replacement sills, floors and toe-board myself and welded them all water tight with a good dose of cavity wax dropped in before hand. What do the pro's do (you guys )? Leave all the drain holes open and seam seal, or make it water tight? Harley

Think chassis. Once water gets in it stays and ruin it. I drill drain holes in the chassis. Samme for pedal floor, floors and sills.

Re: The Grey Nurse
Yup, drain holes everywhere. Back in my Morris Minor days, used to drill the sills 8 - 10mm @ each end and shove a big cross head screw driver in from underneath and 'lever' it backwards (under car, handle of screwdriver/bit of round bar/etc. toward rear) which pushed up the rear of the hole & forced down the front. This, allegedly, stopped spray getting into the holes as u drove along... Just a memory popping up...

Re: The Grey Nurse
I got another half day on the Nurse. Fitting repo panels to an already repaired and replaced a-series is quite the fiddle! As I'm only replacing part of the sils the profile is different and needed a chop. And I little peice I folded up to fill the gap. Harley

Re: The Grey Nurse
I found an old pic from 2008 when I jumped over the Grey Nurse on Cable Beach outside of Broome. Pic was taken a bit early! I know the previous owner has a shot of me in the air above it somewhere. .. Harley
