well here is the new project, 1987 2cv D*lly. taxed and mot'ed. same owner from 6 months old.
needs a little bit of welding on the bottom of a-posts, new alternator and will need roof replacing at some point.
left a deposit, will be delivered soon.

To be honest if its road legal for that money in this day and age you've done ok.

Looks good :)

Know why it needs a new alternator? They're pretty hard to kill if they've been in regular use. Could be brushes, fuse (if it has one) or a wider charging issue.

Mmm. If the battery is boiling it will be the regulator! If not, might be worth checking the charging rate, esp with all ancillaries on. Could also be something as simple as a loose wire. Mine did this, showed zero charge for a while and turned out to be the live feed to the alternator, which had fallen off. One proper connector later and all was well.

don't thinks its regulater as its not putting any charge out.
