What's the chassis like or has it been replaced by now? The front quarter panels seem to be bulging.

original chassis, in not bad condition, the panels are that shape due to me leaning on them then pulling them back out too far!!!! yes both of them!!!

Good - just keep an eye on it then. For odd co-incidences my last CX was a D708 reg!

black wheels, turned arms, longer tie rods, swap the springs for a stiffer set and leave as is? Russ has made up a tutorial in the tech section on suspension...

Looking good so far though! Just watch out for grinding the bolts down that hold the front axle on... I'm gradually wearing through a section of pavement outside my house with a shock mount..

Where you at in the UK? I'll happily turn a set of arms for you. Ecas sell longer rod ends, but usually you don't need them. You want at least ten mil in the shackles mind you. You might want to either set the axle bolts into the chassis (depends on chassis and your fab skills) or Ken often recommends welding a bit of round bar in front of them to act as a skid. If the chassis doesn't hit the ground at least once every journey you're doing it wrong. How low you want to go with it? 45mm is live-with-able, 20mm is a pain in the poop-chute but useable, any lower can start to get on your tits, and you will need harder springs.
