Last time we spoke, (Bob's party), you were about to do some work on the Ami to get it ready for the mot. What happened/Where did it go?

Indeed we did and indeed I was.
The Ami was going to get a couple of small holes in cill & toeboard welded, MoT, and provide 602, 12volt, working heater transport till spring & then to market as I wanted a van instead. :)
The MoT prep started, the wipers died. Never mind, do the welding then the wipers, Poke, poke & more poke, bigger holes, both cills, bottom of left 'a' post looking fragile cold, wet, miserable, fed up with Amiing. Toe board hole extending round onto bulkhead behind front axle, large amounts of dismantling to do a proper job....
Saw van, got over excited, did part chop. All very fast.
Happy with what I've got but not got nearly as much of it as when twofifty AZU had it?!

Quote :
1) Van ready fitted with new floors sills and back end - yes (but!)
2) Dating letter to get it registered - No
3) Pair of rear wings (new) - No
4) Pair of side rails (new) - No
5) Some legalish wheels and tyres - Not tyres!
6) Used rusty front bumper - Remains of PO bumper
7) Ecas big V repro alloy grille - No
8) Ecas grille muff - No
9) Fuel tank - Yes
10) Lights front and rear - No rears
11) Big pot of paint - No
12) Small pot of matched matted blue paint - No
13) Spare 425 engine - No
14) Rear doors - Yes
15) OK ish spare wheel panel - Yes
16) OK ish fuel tank panel - Yes
17) Pair of old style wiper blades - Yes
18) Used door glass to replace the broken one - Yes
- And No to the rest...
19) Master cylinder reservoir (thanks to Spanners)
20) Rear door hinges + some spare for the spare wheel well lid (thanks to Spanners)
21) Door handles
22) Rear reflectors in just about useable condition.
23) New brake hoses
24) New felt heater ducts
25) New inertia reel seat belts

So clearly it's been earning it's keep in the market place! (That's not intended as a dig it's just what happens when projects change hands.) So I'm after most of those bits now!
It has suffered from sitting around too, the right hand floor is rotted out, there are a few holes in the left & in the top of the chassis in the cab. The lower part of the work done on the reaR is good but the upper rear side panels, particularly the right hand one from around the light hole is heavilly pitted, almost through in places but I think savable....
Lots of fun to come then! :D

Here is the back after peeling off the paint - was mostly held on by the surface tension of the water trapped twixt it and the steel, you know how it goes! ;)
