Forgot to mention some time ago - Roy is doing a nice line in new soft steering wheels that are well worth the money to replace the horrid hard Special wheels....

Could you please be more specific about the steering wheel?
Your looks terrific!

Buggery Fuck! Nearly screwed the new engine on the M62 going over to Brighouse - been running great at 70 and then up to the big hill out of Milnrow and it started pinking all the way to the top so had to back off and coax it up - was only when we came off the motorway I realised hadn't taken the bloody grill cover off and must have been running really hot in the warm weather.....hope I've not done irreparable damage

Nels, 2CV or Ami6? ;)
According to the Met Office, the temperature in that area didn't rise above 8*C at any point either yesterday or today (Mon 21st), so it's more likely that you need to back off a shade on the ignition advance.
Hillclimbing capability tends to be better anyway if the timing isn't pushed right to the edge of detonation...

It is the 652cc 2CV - I think it might be a tad advanced but it was much warmer than the met office showed - had the roof off and no heater later on in the day!

Re-timed it today - wasn't too far advanced but clearly enough when charging up a long incline with two up and muff on and a reasonably warm day to give it a dose of the pinks. Lovely day so went off to Uttoxeter to try out the new Waitrose in it - roof off - what a way to travel - feel like I'm 20 all over again when I bought my first one!
