Forgot to mention....get paranoid about how well it's running and if it's burning oil, but in the face of dipstick level not moving and the 200 mile trip at 50mpg, I guess not too shoddy!

Some pictures from this week over on the West Wales coast - the weather has been fantastic - roof off every day and the whole experience has been more Mediterranean than UK!

The car is the project - the house is an amazing cliff top property that we rented last week

Forgot to mention some time ago - Roy is doing a nice line in new soft steering wheels that are well worth the money to replace the horrid hard Special wheels....

Spent the afternoon washing and refitting the back seat cover - hopefully haven't screwed her indoors washing machine as the built in foam on the cImageover turns to dust with age....

Spent the afternoon replacing the fuel line, re-checking tappets after the rebuild - one side was well loose .30mm + - to be honest did that on the fly once the other side was set up and cover back on and put gearbox additive in to quieten it down - much better on the road afterwards and can definitely say takes 25 secs or less to 60 with the big bore kit....

As the forum seems very quiet at the moment, thought I would just post something to say that the 2CV is still running well - much quicker to 60 now the cylinders have bedded in nicely - closer to 20 secs than 30 secs in a standard car and very comfortable on the motorway as a result. Off to Brighouse in the morning to pick up a 1966 Ami6 that I have bought - looks to have had an awful lot of work done on it by Citwins and has an excellent rat look about it....
