thanks for the info guys. trip thats a nice one you´ve got for sale, whats the story with the rear lights, why does mine have 3? are they add ons then?
and I need info about a source of 6 V batteries and all that..or have you changed to 12 V ?
is it best to keep the old engine or try for a 600?..I´m leaning towards keeping the old..it says 85kmh top speed which would be like sidney anyway.
also the tyres are 125 on these old ones no?, I can order them now otherwise even pushing around the workshop will be difficult

I had already sold the 1970 AZU back in February but it is back up there again as the guy who bought it changed his mind for his charcuterie business (or his wife did for him)

Yes, you have add ons for the rear lights.

You should be able to get 85kph on the dead flat with the original engine - that is what I get from my 425cc. But get a hill and it is down to 30kph and a proper climb and I am in first. But so much nicer with the original little motor.

Batteries are pretty easy, most marine places. I bought mine offline pretty cheap. I kept to 6 volts but had to do a lot of work on the dynamo and charging circuit. Also overhauled all the earths and lamps everywhere. But I have put in a 6 to 12 volt converter and stuck a reversing camera in as I can't see shit out of the back the oval doors.

Mine are the original michelin pilot tires which I have since heard are worth a bit but I am not going to change them out, they are there to be used. But I would imagine it is easier to push with blown up tires - plenty of French sites do them and will ship.

Your van, your choice. But I think it would be a real shame to lose the original bonnet.

Ripple bonnets are a bit pretentious and verging towards the wanky wannabe oldie kinda thing, 5 rib bonnets with suicide doors are the real sweet spot in proDucktion, so if it was mine I'd stick with the original bonnet and live safe in the knowledge I had a bitchin' whip that Citroen got right.

With the obvious exception of the dreadful engine and coco-the-clown suspension.
