thanks , it only really occurred to me to use that space recently. it used to be the cinema /dance hall of the village. my furniture workshop is behind the big doors where the stage used to be. and I rigged up the table to make the most of the drop in floor height. it works well for small cars and saves a lot of back ache.

well got the special clearcoat today from barcelona, so had to try it out. it is apparantly slow drying and very tacky (so it adheres without primer) but seems to be drying ok and quicker than they said...it is matt but its wet in the fotos, it darkens everything a bit but adds contrast to the patina also, which I like so far. also the rotten side tube cut off and treated ready for new tube

cheeers neil, nice to know I have the support of the forum.
well the very good news is that the clear coat is dry already despite it raining outside and about 7 degrees!. the tack cloths worked well and the finish is pretty good for the first coat. looks like I´l´l be doing the rest of the back cab tomorrow :D

clear coat on the whole of the rear, and looks solid , cleanable and protected now, also couldnt resist doing a bit of sign writing as I think the car needs a bit of focus with so much texture going on..as you can see its very subtle though, on the darker rusted side it will be even more rubbed down

ps it says fruit and vegetables..and I´ll put something above the windscreen also (business name etc)

Awww geeze,

Please let me know if you want to sell it, I've been wanting to get a van to have in Europe. I will be over in June 2014 if you will part with it!
