Sills look like they need 4 shopping cart wheel on each corner and than your car is done.....

(sorry felt in the need to post this, doesn't make sense I know, nothing personal....)

Nice solution this way

Post Re: Unfinished project
The idea is that I can have the front of the sills just above the ground so I can get them touching the road and throwing up sparks. I have the front of the chassis 30mm higher than the sills so I don't continually ruin the axle bolts and dampers like I do on my yellow 2cv. The rear of the sill is just about the same height as the chassis meaning I can have the correct nose down stance. The engine is going to have to be dropped a bit to avoid poking out the bonnet. The shell is so rubbish though, all the pillars are shit and are rotten, collapsed and full of Glenn where they've been lashed up before. It's made it all a bit annoying. I need a rear brake drum and at least four axle bolts before I can go much further. I dunno what to do about the pillars, I seem to recall they're a bit pricey as a repair panels, I might just make them all out of tube instead.

Using tube at A and C pillar is a good solution. Then weld some sheet metal to the tube to create a pillar and your done....... made well you don't see the diffrence, made so,so everyone thinks, damned what a lot of work he put into it to resque an old 2cv body......
so the choise is up to you...

I must remember to ask my brother if he still has the titanium blocks he got made up for dragging. I´ve a feeling they got sold, but you need blue sparks not orange! ;)
iinterested to see how you´ll sort out the wheel clearance issues...narrowed arms?

If I can get hold of a brake drum and axle bolts I will fit the suspension and modify the arms to allow the wheels to fit, I'd rather not narrow the track, I'd prefer to increase the negative camber and sit the rear wheels just inside the bottom of the rear windows and as for the front I'll probably do the same, I want the front wheels to touch the wings and burn the paint off though. First of all I need to deal with all the rotten pillars. I think Geo is right, I'll probably make them out of 20mm tube and a bit of folded sheet. I really didn't want to get involved in fixing rusty body shells, but this one was cheap and I'm reluctant to spend money on stuff I won't see through!

I went for the easy to make solution, (getting older so it doesn't need to look perfect anymore, just needs to look nice; well sort of    )

I took a slightly smaller tube so I could shuff it into the excisting pillar about 30cm to give extra strength....

Negatie camber (like you did in the pic with the loose wheel looks great, It will give you a great ride I guess, you can Always make the inner wing square to bring it in even more..

Sick.

It would be extra awesome with Ti blocks like the bikers have for scraping their knees or pegs on the road.

and.. your BMW motor.. Although I'd be worried you'd smash the sump out..
