It turns out there were also original 12 volt dynamos on old 2cvs in the 60s. Some EDF vehicles had a 12volt system to be able to use VHF radios. The model numbers are Ducellier 7197A and 7197G. Regulator 1279.

Interesting.
These 12 V dynamos will be very rare I guess.

That is another option.

I don't think that is neccesary. A 12 volt regulator might be enough. The 6 volt dynamos have sturdier wires. I did see one set on ebay france but they asked 1600 euros...pfpf

Why do you want 12 volt?

Mainly because 6 v parts are harder to find in Hungary.
So for instance a lightbulb or a battery , incase you would need it immediately .
There are some Trabant and other older vehicles here on 6 volt, but to find electrical parts as mentioned is quite difficult and if you can find them they are somewhere 100 of miles away, or you have to order them from abroad.
Hungarians are not so into old- or youngtimers , they like them, but don't want to own them. :|

If I still would live in the Netherlands, i would keep the car 6 v .
Immigration comes with a lot of challenges . :)

Lamps etc you can find with moped shops they will be usually 6 volt.
I am now running the 6 volt car for about 4 years in winter. In all this time i had 1 faulty headlamp bulb. For the rest no problems. The green car i have since more than 20 years. I didn't have to change a bulb or anything...exept one battery after 11 years.
