Any idea what that might involve?

My guess would be something like a dent in the right fender.

The sun visor looks hideous but the rest of the car doesn't look to bad. It looks like a lot of effort went into the build.

Perhaps someone might like to inform him that if he were to drive within the limitations of the brakes, they won't be rubbish.

Just a thought.

Or maybe they need properly setting up. All 2cvs have more than enough braking power for the size of the engines and they grip like glue so something somewhere isn't right.

I drive my 2cvs as fast as they will go anywhere and everywhere and only on one drum brake car (a Dyane) could I get brake fade and that was during a period of sustained abuse. Even the race cars use standard discs and pads.

exactly " all new " doesnt mean "working properly"

ive heard race drivers complain that the car is "over braked", which is nonsense. It was probably because the fronts were doing all the work and locking, Properly set up and working rear drums are key, if pushed a 2cv should brake flat and lock all 4 wheels together.

only ever had brake fade coming down the Alps 4 up with trailer in a ropey Dyane.

anyway youré going to love this...
last night sidney was on spanish TV !!..a program called cuarto milenio,,about mysterious events and the unexplained etc..... so in a photo took by the new owner they reckoned they could see a little old lady sat in the back..like a ghost ( the car belonged to an old lady before the scrap yard man sold it to me)..they sent it in to the program and they aired it !!!

as they say here " spain is different "..!
