In fairness, if I hadn't been such a muppet-I'd have checked the emissions before I did the MOT like I did the headlamps. But I didn't so I had to fail it!

Re: 1988 G&W D*lly
is it only a certain age that you need to pass emissions as they never did the Dyane last year but they did on Monday for its test, they said it didn't count but they thought they'd see the results luckily they said its fine and its surprisingly low oh and WELL DONE spanners

Re: 1988 G&W D*lly
only if your Dyane is older than 1975 it should not have an emissions trest? correct spanners? 1975 to 1985 is 4.5% max Co allowed correct? 1986 onwards is 3.5% co untill we get complicated with modern stuff.
Both the acad and the red 2cv are in the 4.5% Co limit. My project sadly falls in the 3.5% Co. None of the citroen 2cvs or the acad are above 3.5 anyways.

Re: 1988 G&W D*lly
What is the problem with CO & MoT???? If you fear problems at the test, just turn the CO shrew in such that the engine just keeps running and go to the MoT. Obviously turn it back after. I didn't even need to do that to get my 2cv throuh a TuV, it only had 0,1 vol% CO anyway.

That's it, it's back home where it really belongs. I can't help but admit that I'll kind of miss it. It turned out to be quite a nice car really-it drove really nicely. Ah well, empty garage now
