2CViking wrote: I've seen the beast. Kermit can nearly keep up with a standard 602 ![]() Tis true! On Raid Viking we had two 2cvs that coukd out run Kermit on a straigh, driven by some young blood, I bet a few of the gray hairs could have done so also if it wasn't about fuel conservation! I was suprised that after fitting 123 ignition that top speed didn't improve, also after fitting multi point fuel injection top speed didn't improve either... what does this tell us? Citroën knew what they where doing! BUT what did improve was low and mid range torque & power and also throttle response, it is like a completely different motor, day vs night. It is still a stock, tired 602 on the inside, for now ![]() Being able to overtake @110km/h in third gear is très fun though ![]() Thx Neil, tis a pleasure being a part of I2CVF's. Harley |

Harley ![]() ![]() love it - when I tell some Johnny come lately eejit, who has been on a street rod/hot rod forum about getting yank tanks (with all the finesse of a tractor) to go a bit faster - for about 15 seconds or 1/4mile, that you have to go some to make a 2cv "better" I get shot down in flames ![]() Any hoo what coil are you running? Ive found the stock coil to be rather limiting, try one of the Harley Davidson sport coils designed for points ignition ( primary resistance of 3.Ohms or higher) |

True that Sean, ![]() Yes I'm running the yellow Accel coil, worth the cost I believe, especially if you buy the black equivalent for the Harley |

I don't understand, why don't you use the original black coil, I run mine for years now on Megasquirt/1-2-Spark and even running at over 1.5 bar of boost, it never misses a single beat... It can make sparks longer as 1/2 an Inch so what do you need more..... Chris W is also running a black coil on his turbo car (with 1-2-spark) and its not limiting at all... It's just a mind thing of you I guess... I say any other coil is wasted money..... |
