Re: 1957 AZU - René II I am starting to plan for renovation of this little van in the Autumn but need some guidance on some costs for body preparation and full respray inside and out. Body does not need any major repairs but needs to be fully prepped, dents beaten out and filled etc etc. Basically to a decent concours standard. Then painted Gris AC 132 on the outside and inside of cab. The inside of the cargo area will be Ivoire Clair AC 123. I will totally strip the body so a shell, wings and bonnet will be presented to the body shop. What is a reasonable cost for this work  (I will also rebuild afterwards) Cheers Ian

Re: 1957 AZU - René II It cost me £200 for my new wings to be sprayed,which included preparation,etch primer, stone chip on the undersides,with two pack finish coats including over the stone chip. The underside was then sprayed with waxoyl. I am more than happy with the work done by a small local business. As to the cost of any repaint of a whole vehicle I would not want to even guess,but I would go on recommendations from others who'd had work done  I agree with Jamie looks fine to me

Re: 1957 AZU - René II Was talking to the chap who restored my 2CV yesterday, and he was telling me how much more expensive paint has become over the past five years. Told me about a friend of his who was quoted £5000 for a full respray on a MG-B Roadster!! Cheapest quote was £3,500.
