That all looks brilliant, Ian, and a very professional bit of filming, too.

And of course it will go faster with shiny paint: so much less air resistance than a rusty surface. But it's a bit of a pity you've had to have the number plates repainted: I loved the original hand-painted versions (illegal, were they?).

My own experience with my considerably younger but quite similar AZU 250 was that the gendarmes were more likely to wave at you than to stop you. That is a bit different from the experience I'd had in the UK with old 2Cvs.

I'm also quite interested in seeing what your retro-bike looks like: I assume it'll go on that nice sign-painted roof rack?

All ready in time for the Tour de France.

Stage 17 St Gaudens to Pla d'Adet goes straight past our house and I will park it on the roadside so keep an eye out for it.
