I got the T Cut out and tried to get rid of some of the rust spatters. He does shine up quite well (except for the primer patches). Hoping to take him to the 2CV show at the end of the month near bordeaux.

A little bit of work last night, finished off the T Cutting just to make him a bit smoother and to work out what rust there was - not much, found a couple of small holes at the bottom of the fuel tank panel and rear quarter. This will all keep until september.

Wired brushed the rear hinges and slapped on some grease - What would these normally be coated in, would Zinc plating be enough, I didn't really want to paint them.

Contrôle Technique - PASSED

Absolutely no faults at all. All the testers were crowded around and taking pictures and commenting how good the underneath was (phew, as this was the first proper inspection of the underneath). All worked fine, even the lights

Car before mine was a brand new Ford Shelby V8 - it failed due to not having orange indicators

Next step - get the old owner to declare he lost the Carte Gris, and the apply for the registration in my name. Simples.....

Underneath was "trés propre"

Lights activated the light machine this time - no worries

Love the single brake light - just hope the orange does not confuse too many people

Great van and result at CT,hope you don't mind me asking but where is the 2CV show near Bordeaux. We're in the Charente a couple of hours away. Sad thing is I haven't got mine with me,but that will be put right in May
