I also say don't go big with the back tyres. I think it is silly to have back tyres bigger than the fronts on any car that is front wheel drive.

at the moment its still front wheel drive, but it will be rear wheel next year probably!
and the front tires are 205 wide. so that isnt that big of a difference with 225 in the rear.

probably going to keep 225 in the rear for a while. i can always go bigger later on.

got alot done today!

first the fender, iv welded the filler hole shut, cause it will be moved. and i welded up al the bad spot's /rust. made the panel gab between the fender and the body as nice as it could get.
i still think i will widen the fender around 2cm orso, just for looks and to give the tire a little more space.

then i completed one innerfender, i know it looks to square and so, but this will make it alot easier since i wont have a trunk anymore, and know i can store some more in the back, you will see pictures later how and why. haha

Joey, your working is pretty inspiring!
I have a quick question about welding technique: do you join up your welds, or are the tacks you put in, as shown in this pic, sufficient?

well those welds will not carry any weight orso, only to keep the rear panel in place. so this is probably enough i think =]

the rear is as good as done!

now busy on the front!

Thanks. I only ask cos, after looking at your pics, I realise I'm putting too much much weld into my, err, welds. Think I'll ease off a bit in future, unless its structural.
