Just 'floors' is fine, 'floorboards' makes me think of planks of wood. 'Floorpans' is quite acceptable, so long as you don't think you can lift the shell off the floorpan. There are two floors/floorpans, they're part of the body shell and the bit left behind is the chassis. ;)

I can see how it can get confusing.

Post Re: Early Ami
anyway update sounds silly but i spent the last day of my holiday seam sealing and zinc priming stuff thats just been welded.
Well that not so silly but this bit may sound it.
I also spent a few hours adjusting doors etc to make sure everything lined up as well as it should for me.
I considered that the doors will be off again before the shell is off, but i wanted to make sure everything was adjustable to what it was supposed to be in the first place.
So at this point in time the Door shut lines are nigh on perfect, and the doors shut with a resounding click.
Petty yes , but It is the reasurance I needed that everything is where it is supposed to be and what has occured so far is right.
This means I have datums to measure from ready to attack the other side.

Better than my car already then.

Particularly in Derbyshire, where they used to do a nice line in wooden floors to MOT standard for 2CVs... ;)

Dont worry Jools perfect is relative, On Fred my Daily Its a case of open door, climb in ,shut door... open door put seal back in right place, shut door...open door slam door so you cannot see daylight.
Some call it Gallic charm, I call it lazyness.
Perfect in my case means it looks alright, is not a bus-ride out and dont hit anything.

Time for an update.
I have not been doing much for various reasons , shite weather, having a stomach bug, work being a bit busy and feeling the need to spend a bit more quality time at home.
anyway Ami got pushed to the back for a bit, however things are still happening just a bit s l o w e r
So i started by pushing the car over to get to the other side with more space.
and then i took the door off, not a difficult task as it had very little holding it up there bar the door lock.

I then cut a bit of a hole in the floor where the footboard is (was before rust got to it) double skinned

After that I had a look at what was left of the A Pillar...Hmmm not much really

Note my seamless temporary top hinge repair with a bit of old wardrobe and a couple of wood screws.
