Thats great work 2cvkeza - how much do you think this is going to cost? - my aks400 shell is shot and Im wondering about getting someone to rebuild it and a road trip to Slovenia seems fun!

I am back again with this AK ...

A lot of work was made this week and now some progress can be seen. Some pieces were need to be produced before work can be continued. Like first "traverse" behind seats and side panels behind B posts.

OK, panels first... This is old "traverse" (what is corect name for it ? )



And this is new part .

OK, lets go weld some panels... this is how I repair side window opening on AK...





I have to buy new spot-welder... this old one weight 15 kilos... to much for my old bones

I am too fast... Before that I did fit new inner wing ... and than side repair panels... and than...



I didnot clean rust from B post... it is too rusty and I will cut and replace post later.



Fit the B post side panel ...



And than inner wing...

And another side . This B post is better...





Now ... cross-member





After that cargo bay is secured and fixed and stiff ... and NEW. Side body parts (wings and other parts) will be added later.
