Really like what you have done with the back drop in the van. I would like to do the same kind of thing.

That's fantastic, Keza.

One question - the panels you bought that didn't fit - could it be partially due to the variability in bodyshells from new? I seem to remember that when Will's Beachcomber, Mavis, had the back end changed for a better one from another car, there was a good 25-30mm difference in width where they joined, despite both being "original Citroen"-assembled shells.

I think it is same color as yours AZU. Anyway... It is AC 635 and it is as it was original on this AK.

You can always predict some differences on A series citroens as thay was produced so many years ago and almost by manualwork. But it is minor differences... few milimetres.

I have lot of NOS body spare parts for this cars and thay fits. But that new parts dont... At new aftermarket parts sometimes differences are 1 - 2 centimetres (!) from what thay supose to be.

Yes, and every 2CV is different one from another in defolt ... As I said thay were almost hand made and bodyshells are not the same. That was predicted in assembly line as normal + - deviation of the dimensions.

well we have got stuck in now, by the time we have the front end some thing like we are hoping the under body cross members will have arrived from janez ... Its surprising how much out of true a body can become over the years with patches of welding and yet still the doors close :)
