Re: AK 400
my findings are similar "toe boars" pedal panel too short and narrow at the mid point and the shape of the bend as it goes vertical did not match up with the drilled out spots on the original car. windcreen surround id fitted the full piece from the roof opening down not a great fit either the legs that weld over the roof rails were short by 10mm, the swage for the rain gutters was out and the bonnet popped out the hinge when opened. hmm.... by Sean602, on Flickr hmm... by Sean602, on Flickr

Re: AK 400
Yeah Sean... and a lot more problems with that part. But unfortunately my English is not that good to explain what and where is that part wrong.

Original stick was found in the junkyard. The rest of the tool is made from scrap pieces of iron. Watch the video http://youtu.be/gLraVU4LKeg

It took me ages to make such a part for my AZU. I took a piece of reinforcing steel, like they use in concrete, and started bending and hammering until the sheet-metal was round. But this technique is much better.

Re: AK 400
Brilliant work, I'm loving the tool for making the tubular section, very clever.

Re: AK 400
I've just received 2 panels for my AK (the side panels at the B post) from Janez, they are perfect. Identical to the original but I suspect the metal is a thicker gauge.
This guy is a wizard with metal!
Posted on the 11th in Slovenia received here in Normandy today (17th) with a week-end in between! Thanks again Janez.

Re: AK 400
Original Citroen AK metal thicknes was 0,65 mm. My panels are made from elektrozinque sheet metal 0,8 mm and material is high quality from WoesAlpine factory from Austria.
