Post Re-introduction!
My initial post was rubbish so I'm trying again... Well here goes...

Hi I'm Dave - I have just acquired my first 2CV

I'm from Aldershot, Hampshire and up to now Minis and Land Rovers have been my thing but then having been friends with Russell for about 14 years and being drafted in to Team Lumaca's 2011 pit crew it was about time I officially got the bug! :D

So here's it is... my 1987 2CV6 Special

Welcome. Looks in very good condition, especially the interior and presumably a runner? Any past history with it? I see it was first registered in Yorkshire, as was mine.

Hi. Yeah she's a runner brought it with 12 months mot and 6 months tax so was bit of a bargain. Unfortunately didn't come with any history, all I know is that it has the new seats and a galvinsed chassis. It hasn't been far from where it was registered then as I brought it in Hull :)

Nice one. Hello again. :) I've got a Series 2a Landy sitting on the drive as well as my daily transport Dyane. I'm a glutton for punishment, me.

Post Re: Re-introduction!
Well it's been a while since I posted on here. And since last time I posted I have fitted a front wiring loom due to a large amount of melted wires, and a lot of previous bodges. I have Russ to thank a lot for his help with that.
And also changed the engine due to the original sizing up, another big thanks to Russ due here as well.
So decided to get ready for the trip to registrars weekend

But after the day out at top gear my body had other plans for me which meant I spent registrars weekend on hospital.
So hopefully will get to meet more of you in field some other time :)
