what's the scope for welding new 'trays' in there....i have little knowledge of welding and it's possibilties...
mine aren't as bad as your right one but not quite as clean as your left one....

Re: Ami 6 Break (up) Well next winter will be door welding time. I'm just flat out at the moment and can't get to it.
I don't think that welding in a U channel is going to give me any worries. The main issue is to line it up properly so the windows can slide without being too tight or loose.
Despite the original door rails having plenty of drain holes, the damn thing still rust
