Well,the van is now at Grahams,so I had better pull my finger out and get the rest of the bits done.
Got some square nuts made for fixing the body to the chassis.Sean kindly gave me some but they were to small.
Now my attention has turned to the rear door hinges.Both myself and Spog are looking for someone who might be able to make some.Any ideas?A computer contolled rolling machine is need,apparently.
On the weekend I will prepare the rear doors for painting,then next week I'll do the front wings and bonnet.
And inbetween,I must find time to tinker with the Solex.

are the door hinges the same or similar to rear doors on 2cv?

Similar,but not the same.Or are they?You've got me thinking now.They do the same job,ie,the door slides into the hinge.i am sure I checked,but will double check in the morning.

if they are then
1 find a scrap rear door

2 and SPOG should do it as a repair for dropped rear doors

Well,as usual,things never go to plan.The van is still at Grahams,but,these arrived today from the painter guy




Funny how the colours look so different,but they are the same.Honest .
And I bought new seat covers,not cheap,but they are the bollocks.


Getting those panels back has got the juices flowing again,must ring Graham and make sure ha hasnt sold my body and chasiss (only joking)
