Is there an easy fix for this pesky problem, or will I have to find a new window?

Define 'easy'...

I've had that happen before, I just welded it back on. If you don't have that luxury then I reckon it'd be easier to just change the window. Do you have a spare, or would you like me to post you one?

My passenger window went in Belgium on the way home from Spa a couple of years ago - I ended up folding the passenger door mirror in to hold the window closed - that was an easy fix! It was like that for nearly 12 months until I dug a spare frame out of the shed & transferred the glass & rubber over! :)

I probably have a spare knocking around somewhere in my dad's garage, thanks Russ. I'll have a look at the weekend. Until then Neil's crafty mirror fix will do the trick.

Might even have a go at fixing it, once I get my rediscovered welding kit up and running...

How we fixed it for James :

Unfortunately, James thought our repair was sub-standard and still moans about it to this day.

An impressively elegant solution. Can't see why James would find fault with it.
