I just picked this up today. I've bought it because I'm going to work in France (again) from April up until the World Meeting, and a van's so much better than a car for carting all my crap (and my bike) about in for 3 or 4 months. I'll probably have to sell it when I get back, but I'll enjoy it while I can!

It was originally beige, and was first registered in Britain in 2004. It's actually a 1981/82 van. Overall it's really sound, although it is a bit tatty. It drove the 120 miles back home today beautifully, and once I've given it a service it should be more than ready for France.

I think I'll leave the crazy roof rack on, but I'm going to paint the cab roof white.

Bodywork looks pretty solid, bodypanels could be beter, but have seen worse..

Imported from France I assume?

Yes, it looks like it did come from France (the "F" sticker on the back of course, plus there's a "next service due" label under the bonnet which is all in French).

Looks nice Jono. I'm not really a Dyane fan, but I quite like Acads. they look more finished than a 2cv van...

They go a lot better, too. I still love 2cv vans (I've never owned one, though I've always wanted one), but Acads are more useable.

You could always put some 2cv wings on, a bonnet, narrow headlamp bar, etc...

Jono, the roof rack will eat your fuel consumption and I so want it. Mine goes for its CT this week. If it passes its going to get some love and attention and a new roof rack would make it just perfect. I am rattling euros while I am writing.

Nice buy! I like acads, nearly bought a mixte for 1500 quid til I asked for pics of the rear seating bit, then they mistakenly/luckily added a pic of the box section (fuel tank and inner wing bit) that was rotten nearly the whole length! I think 2cv vans look better in short wheelbase form, and acads should have been the only long alternative

Nice van! Planning on tidying it up before your trip or leaving it looking shabby chic? 8-)
