Jono, the roof rack will eat your fuel consumption and I so want it. Mine goes for its CT this week. If it passes its going to get some love and attention and a new roof rack would make it just perfect. I am rattling euros while I am writing.

Are you taking your Acadiane to Salbris? We could swap there. Just take a cordless drill for your roof, and some rubber grommets for mine!

Nice van! Planning on tidying it up before your trip or leaving it looking shabby chic? 8-)

I had intended to leave it as it is, apart from painting the cab roof. I'm now thinking that I might spruce it up a bit more, though it all depends on time as I'm very busy right now and I've only got a few weeks before I go!

We are going in Janice's 2CV but will have a trailer tent on the back so no problem transporting it. Rubber grommets at the ready

You might not like the way it looks so much now, Matt! I'm pleased with it though, and actually it does still have the 'right look', as it's rattier in real life than it looks in these pictures. However, the more I look at it, the more solid I realise it is.

I've half-fitted the stereo today as well, so there's basically just the gearbox to sort and then it should be ready for France :D
