Aha ok, my bad. So the only other known Belgian built AKs in the UK are Pete's 'Stimpy' and the eBay shed? As theyre both AKLs does that make mine the ONLY standard Belgian AK in the UK?

How many 350s _are_ there?

I can only think of six off-hand. Het (Belgian AK), Stimpy (Belgian AKL), that rotten shed (Belgian AKL), Daras Rich (French AK), Tim Jessop (French AKB), Mark350 (French AKB)

Well that's interesting :)

Not forgetting that other eBay shed right hand drive 350

She's nice to drive.

Tested and working:
Clutch
Reverse, first, second and third gears
Breaks (will change the fluid though)
Break lights
Dip and full beam

Not working:
Horn (was, then stopped)
front right side light
rear left side light
indicators

Not yet tested:
Windscreen wipers
4th gear

I also need to find an air box that fits. Any ideas?

Would you mind slowing the enthusiasm down a bit, Sam? I'm starting to get earache along the lines of "Why couldn't you get that done so quickly..."

About the last job I did was to have the heads off to replace the pistons & barrels, so it's entirely feasible. I don't recall a leak, though - and I'd definitely have remembered THAT!

Should be OK - I stripped the motor down, cleaned out and regreased the gearbox - which was full of, well, fossilised earwax...

It's an old box. You need to go sideways from third, then all the way forward, not half way forward to neutral, then across and forward. When you come out of fourth, you have to go to third, not straight to neutral.

Oldie :-
Code:
R   2    4

1    3

Normal :-
Code:
R   2    4
|     |     |
------------|
|     |     |
1    3

That one doesn't? Bugger. There's that horrible chrome pancake thing...
