I remember it. One memory... I towed it on the way to the salbris french national when the gearbox unwound and stuck in 4th. Good times! ;-)

It'll be good to blow the dust off and get her rolling again.

It'll be great to see this on the road... never did get to see it in the flesh. I just assumed you'd got rid of it ages ago.

Sam and I headed up to my 'rents place on friday with Adrians trailer, cleared the two garages full of 2cv and Ami bits and found my yellow 2cv.

Image

It's now in our barn awaiting an MOT and a few bits such as an exhaust and bumpers which went missing sometime in the last three years it's been sitting there.

It was quite nice to drive a car on normal suspension round the farm, I'd like to wind it up a fair bit more really, and I'm quite keen to get hold of a set of Kit Aventure over-wing mouldings and some adventure bumpers, although I've not seen any I like on the market I might end up having to make some. I'd quite like to paint some bits of it like the over-wings and wheels and stuff in the brightest shade of pink I can find.

That kit is hard to find. I've got one at home, bought 7years ago on CitroMobile for 200€, but it's missing one of the rear wing mouldings.
Only mounted the bumpers at that time.

Last week there was an advert on the dutch ebay with the complete adventure kit advertised, cant find the ad anymore.
Good luck with the search. If I find anyone who wants to sell them I'll let you know!

I have the stone guards and a pair of handles, the original adventure bumpers were crappy looking rusty rubbish.
those plastic cutoffs were hideous

TBH Rus a man of your talent should be able to knock out some nice PO stylee bumpers, the stoneguards are Rough more akin to some crappy Chineese made garden ornament( to which they would be better suited), and cut the rear wings as per the "Ici...." diagram if you want that 70s raid look. pair of handles from either a type 25 Vw van or off the back of an ex BT tranny!

but suspect its more of a wind up......tho' you are more than welcome to the 1/2 used tin of shocking pink paint that’s here ;)

I would make the bumpers but I don't have any tube rolling or bending kit any more. I'll certainly think about what I could do. I'm not a fan of the original bumpers or stoneguards, and don't really want them. It's mainly the wing mouldings I want. I had a pair of wheels powdered pink a while back, it was some RAL colour we had at the time, if I can get the mouldings then I'll do them in that.

That's true I'd forgotten about those.
