How much is the Beer? :)

I still do not know, I have not found time to visit the local pub yet. :(
Over here there is not a pub in each village like in the UK.
I hear from friends that the number of local pubs in the UK are diminishing
In Holland the café's , as we call them, are getting less each year because of the laws on tobacco, drinking and the increase of taxes like VAT.
Now the government wants to ban smoking in coffeeshops , so what is that with the "liberal thinking" in Holland ?

Preparing the van to be registered in Hungary.
Not much to do actually, it is in good shape.
I only want to check the handbrake tomorrow, as my son is here.
Both Volvo's are registerd in Hungary sinds last week, all went well, but they are modern cars.
Hope the Citroen will not be an issue for the Hungarian authority's , there are not so many 2CV's over here, and as far as I know no van's at all .
Fingers crossed .

I will wait until the van is registered in Hungary.
There are some very nice places here to have a photoshoot.

Took the van to the garage yesterday.
If all goes well it wil be registered in Hungary in about 2 or 3 weeks time.
In the mean time it is parked in the yard of the local workshop between all modern cars.
So it will get a lot of attention of people visiting the garage.
On the way to the garage( my son was driving it and I drove behind in my Volvo) There were many heads turning.
to be continued

First: I think all of us would like to see some pictures of youre new home.. 2. Someone mentioned a Toyota a few posts back, but no it is even worse, it is a Volvo.. In my mind I,m still hoping it would be a 66 or early 340, but I guess it will a big estate or even worse a suv.. suf uitermate vervelend :x :x :x.... Now me I bought my self a '77 Cx 2400 pallas as a daily driver you see... after 6 years of driving a Ami 8....Tax free and allowed in all Cities ( even in Germany and France)...

Geo,
Pictures are on my telephone and I still can't manage to get them from there on to my PC. :?
My son is going to explain how it works, but he said this before we left Holland and he still did not. :(

About the Volvo's : It is a 2005 V 50 and a 2001 V70, and yes I would rather drive a DS, GS CX or just a 2CV, but I still am happily married and I do have to make some consessions to keep the marriage working.
As my wife, like most, is not very happy driving or riding in an older car , I have to ask her about the type and make of our daily driver(s) .
And she refuses to have a little car for herself , like a C1 or the likes .

I don't understand why it irritates you , we live in Hungary now, and I doubt that we will meet very often . :P
