Did some welding on Monday, but had to stop because it got too dark.
The light was fading

Yes it is welded on !
I don't know if you would call it spotwelding, it is welding into little wholes you make in the metal before welding.
So not by using the two copper rods on each end of the metal .

Was the back end an easy job?Mine could do with new rear wings and repair panels where the rear light is fitted.
I presume its a case of finding the spot welds and drilling them out?

It was a relatively easy job, also thanks to the lower crossmemberbox 2CVKEZA made for me .Which fitted very well ! As did the other panels .
As you suggest, finding the spotwelds and drilling them out. Don't use a drill that is too large!! 8MM is too large, I would advise you should use 5 mm maximum instead.
Spotweld-drills are very handy as they have a centerpoint that prevents them from slipping .

No, I used sheet metal punshing pliers :

I can't find it on an English site, but they must be available in England somewhere

Sorry, I made a mistake!! You should use a 5 mm drill!! Not an 8 MM !
8 MM is too Large!!
