I almost finished my van today !
But the engine leaks oil, and that is because the oilfiller pipe is no good. There is to much pressure in the carter .
The other problem is that one of the breakpipe joints is leaking.
That is all no big deal, the only trouble is that in this time of the year, it is difficult to have spareparts ordered and delivered in a short time.
So I will have to wait till next weekuntill the dilivery will be here.

But the end is near , so no worries!

I would guess the car behind is his son's Mazda 323, but progress has not kept up with the AZU. (page 5)

Inspiring stuff, given the 'workshop' area you have to do the work in, great looking little van, well done!

It is a MAZDA 323.. :(
My son is still making plans how to "improve" the car, but he never does a thing to it.
We parked it insite the polytunnel to keep it out of the wet, and I had hopes that this would inspire my son to start working on it so I could use the space as he has finished his project, but alas my plan does not work.
So probably it will stay in there for a while until I need the space for a new project preferably a 1953 2CV Van .

If I start the engine of my van, the carburettor leaks .
I am adjusting the carburettor, and because the engine does not run as it shoot, I had to start it up several times .
So does it leak because of the frequently starting or because the float is not correctly adjusted?

Did you play with the throttle starting the engine? Then the accelerator pump squirts petrol all the time, flooding the inletmanifold...... Theres a little hole at the bottom of the inletmanifold where the petrol can escape, yes the petrol is running over the engine then!!!!

If you didn;t play with the throttle the "vlotter" is maybee wrongly installed/adjusted.......

Let the engine run for a while and take a look how it all devellops....
