Originally they were on the other way round I just assumed the other way was the correct way but it may have not been the way they left the factory

Odd, do you have any pics of the van whilst you had it? It is always interesting to try and fill in some history.

I assume you had the body off the chassis? Did you do anything to the suspension? You got so close to having a van again. A lot of the horrible work is done.

I am not ! I spend a lot of time on my AZU B 1974,and I still can't see very much progress.
So this Thread is very frustrating !!

Patience is a virtue :P

And get writing on that AZU B restoration thread.

I was a tad occupied recently rebuilding my brother in law's W124 estate ;)

To be honest it has been usurped by several other works in progress. Mainly I've been playing with a Volvo PV544 Sport which needs re painting inside and out and then building back up from a bare shell.

I really must do some work to it, I want to use it! Hangs head in shame......

It's not, at the moment it's completely and utterly unloved. I'm playing with other stuff that has me more interested.

There are only so many hours in a day. I haven't really decided what I'll do with the van. I'm a bit out of love with the whole 2CV "scene" to be honest.

It happens. Be nice to see it on the road - i love the idea of keeping the rustic look. Perhaps if you work on it as & when through the winter & aim to get it back on the road for next spring - i'm sure pottering along the A roads on a warm day, you'll soon get the love back. :)
