Oh yes ... cutaway wings wouldn't work at all. They only really work on 2CVs.

Started to strip it to get the gearbox out today. Front panel and bonnet off, all wiring disconnected, throttle linkage dismantled, clutch cable removed, starter motor off and so on. Engine is pretty much ready to lift out now, but I've had to stop cos I'm off to work in a bit. Will be back on it tomorrow, when the first thing I'll probably have to do is chop a 17mm spanner in half in order to get to the nuts at the bottom of the bellhousing.

Gearbox and engine are out and in the shed (an actual shed, that is, not another car). I've started building the brakes up but I keep getting interrupted by having to go to work and having to sleep. Next job is to get the brakes finished, then change the cowling on the engine for some tin stuff I've got in the shed.

Aah I see i'm not the only one who makes his own special 2cv/Citroen tools. My drawer of special 2cv/Citroen tools is the fullest of my hole cabinet...... :lol:

Well you smartarse try to translate this into Dutch wich is my first language. (yes I learned wich is without a t otherwise it is my wife) read my topic (a 2cv4x4 is (re)born) a guy isn't a gay and so on but please read what a mean and not what I write. :lol: :lol: :lol:
