Quote: Congratulations on your upcoming fatherhood. Shame it means you have to sell the car, but somethings are more important I guess. Cheers Jonathon. I can't complain really. I'll be keeping my Charleston and everything else but I have to admit the cash from selling this will come in handy. I'll still be making every effort to take my time and not bodge anything though.

Well, your cock and balls are in tip top working order, so that can't be bad news. And as you say, selling it will bring in a fair wedge as it's obviously a really good example.

Lenny....congratulations, shame you didnt win my prize in the competition here to win the luminous condom...personally I would keep the car and stick the baby on eBay...
But great thread and the work you have done is amazing. Keep more pics coming and am I jealous of your workshop or what ? (oh and also well impressed with the way you did that door!).
Fantastic car....enjoying this thread....lets hope that when its done we can be entertained in the sale of it ....as with Old Nail !....ha !....good luck with everything and keep us all inspired (not with babies....actually managed to avoid that myself for a bit longer than you....never worked out the point of them....you have to wait 18 years before they can collect you from the pub....even I can walk back home in that time !)

I'll probably agree with you when he's bawling his lungs out at some unearthly hour of the morning.

Just read this start to finish - nice work you've done!
Any progress since the last update? It looks almost complete.

Re: Very rusty '86 Bleu Celeste.
No more progress I'm afraid. The problem is that I'm basically bone-idle. It is nearly there. I've got four wings, bonnet and two front doors to paint then it'll be done. Unfortunately I've no inclination at all to get back on with it. I've well and truly lost my mojo. I'm absolutely loving the fatherhood thing and can't bring myself to spend weekends in the garage at the moment. It's still in there, nice and warm and dry, so it's not spoiling in any way. One day I'll crack back on with it and finish it. It might be this weekend or it might be in five years time but I WILL finish it. My Bug took me seven years on and off and I got that one finished eventually.

No idea how I missed this! Fantastic work! My 1st car was a 1990 celeste, worked out it was made about 2weeks before they pulled the plug. That thing flew! It was in great nick when I got it, came with 12 months t&t, and a free puppy paw cushion to sit on haha having said that it was faded to the point of being pretty much white. Many many hours of elbow grease to get it cleaned up! You need to poke the fire and get going, we can't wait 7years! Are you by any chance waiting for lil one to be old enough to help?

I pulled the cover off this last weekend. I might just have to crack on with it over the winter. I'm making no promises though.
