)The story of my 1954 2cv A Luxe, made in Belgium and fitted with the gorgeous 375cc engine. A belgian built 2cv had always been on my wishlist and in october 2005 my wish was fulfilled when I accidently found my '54 at an old local Citroën dealer. I found it with a few parts missing: engine and gearbox, two wheels, front door, bootlid, headlights, front aluminium bumper, few hubcaps and lots of other smaller parts. Some of the missing bits have joined the car since purchase, but the puzzle is far from complete.
In the past it had been resprayed in a nice beige color, but the original color is blue which looks a lot like Volkswagens L63 Azure Blue. http://www.oldbug.com/gates.htm ... to give you an idea.
In a huge pile of old engines I found myself a dirty A engine which had been lying on its side in the same garage.
