Feel rather bad that I've failed to mention how AWESOME this car is. Made it to Spain and back, no issues (save a fuel pump and a drive shaft gaiter...). Did around 3500 miles and averaged 43mpg so pretty chuffed. Turned out to be the perfect road trip car. It's SORNED from Saturday which I'm a bit sad about but now knowing just how great it is I might get it out in the summer. Some pics:      If you'd just driven 700kms in a Mehari you too would pull that face.       Having seen those photos I'm going to look out the rain covered window of my minute office and cry brokenly. How long till the French National?? |
