That you are, Sir. You've got _three_ corkers.

Nice trailer, Sam... <grin>

 yeah... wanted to test it, just to make sure it's working ok ;)

If you put the car on forwards so the weight of the engine loads the trailer hitch you're much less likely to end up with wagging incidents than you are with weight right at the back of the trailer.

Nice looking Mehari, I fancy one....

(Sorry, Russ!)

As I say, we thought about selling it but it seemed a shame after 26 years in the same family!

Cheers 250 I'll remember that for nxt time. That's why it snaked a bit around 50mph

It was nothing to do with the trailer swaying about, I stacked it because I wasn't watching where I was going.

I had a bloody close call with the 4x4 behind the Saab on the M42 - it got a wiggle going, which just tensed me up, and it got worse, and worse... I really thought it'd gone.

By the time it sorted itself out (wish I could claim the credit!), I looked in the mirror - and there were two HGVs, side by side, 200yds+ back - with their hazards on!

Oh yes; it is amazing just how fast it can happen. Years ago I met up with a friend of mine to recover a Charleston with an unwound gearbox. He towed the car away using an A frame, with his Mercedes E320. I had my car loaded full of bits and pieces that went with the car. Somehow we got the a frame on slightly wrong. I was following him so I had a grandstand view. At the first roundabout we came to the 2CV started bucking so violently it pulled the Mercedes sideways until it was almost sideways across the roundabout.

It was scary watching it, I just hadn't expected a 2CV could pull damn near 2 tonnes of Mercedes sideways. Fortunately nothing was damaged or hit, but I've been wary of A frames ever since.
