Also I recall Esso tyres which had a lifetime guarantee.

If you had an unrepairable puncture or catastrophic failure during the life of the tyre they gave you a new one and you only paid for the tread used. But the downside was the high initial price - you paid the price of a set of five for just 4.

Post Re: 1968 Ami Club Break
Last saturday I spent some time in the garage, to find out why the car was holding back when going from the first to the second step of the carb.
Also with pulling up fast the cars started to shudder, once I pulled the choke out, the car speeded up without a problem.

First I wanted to change the whole carb, but I didn't want to take half the car apart...

So looked at the jet setting, and it seemed I put a 90 in the second barrel after I've got the carb cleaned.
This in now replaced with a 110 I had lying around.. Car now drives pretty good, no holding back..
Car gets better and better ;)

10:46 and 12:20..

The Ami has, coincidentally, the same colors as RKC...

going to get some new rims and tyres for the ami tomorrow.. Winter season looks to be over, so the wintertyres are going off the car and into the garage..

Via my work the Ami will get the chevrons on its roof.. only need to measure the roof and let the sticker company know what I exactly want

no complaints at all.
grip is fine (wet and dry).
tyre wear is also good (on the 2cv that is).
on the ami I now got the second set of front tyres, due to bad tracking and damaged wheel bearing.
tracking is adjusted last November and the susp. arm was changed for a good one.
when this was done I put the wintertyres on the car

now going to find out how well toyo's handle on a ami with good tracking and stuff ;)

dont know yet, need to measure the roof and talk to the company about what is possible.
in my mind right now is the width of the roof, till the part where is bends downwards....
