Wasn't it Henry Ford who offered 'any colour you want, as long as it's black'?

In the 1980s, Citroen must have struck one hell of a deal on Rouge Vallelunga, with all its variations on the theme of 'a bit more red' or 'a bit more orange'... :roll:

Red sells Ken, Citroen must have cottoned on to that. In the motor trade a quick blow over is often known as 'resale red' ;)

Another motor trade term which still amuses me when I see it today is the 'Punters salute'. That describes the first thing that viewers at car shows do when they approach the car, they cup their hand to their forehead to look in the window! :lol:
