Post Citroen 2cv6 Special 1989
Hi All

Just thought I would post some pics of my new purchase (2cv Special 1989) some 4 weeks ago. The previous owner had the car from 2001 and did very little mileage. The car since this time was declared SORN. Only done 48k and with full service history, even the booklet is fully stamped!!!. Needed a new chassis (as normal), not seen a more original car for years. The bodywork is brilliant considering the age, been cleaning her for the last 2 days. Showing her at "Houghton Towers" classic car show in Preston at the end of June. I contacted the old owner who was delighted the car was back on the road, he is even driving down on the day down to see her new lease of life!!!. ;) ;)

I also have a 1986 two-tone grey Charlston in as new condition, she is currently shrink wrapped at the moment :D , hehe, will upload some pics in the next few weeks, thanks

Matt R

That certainly looks very clean, Matt. Did you re-chassis & sort the front floor yourself? What chassis did you opt for, out of interest.

I didnt re-chassis myself, my friend did it for me, I paid him though of course, went for the fully galvanised chassis in the end from 2cv City :)

Try and persuade Old-Nail to take his lovely AZAM inspired deuche to that show, as well ;) Hell, if I'm not working that w/e and it gets a good few A-series turning up, I may head on up there, myself :D

There generally isn't a great a series turn out usually, which is a shame because I can think of plenty of them that are around this area... Infact last year I think there were more R4's than 2cvs... and yes it would be great to see Old Nail's beautiful one there 8-)
