the new ones arrived, afterordering them in feb, my bro ordered them for my b day, and they turned up and they where pink grrr so still stuck with those ones, and since then ive got grease and shit and paint on them so there not in a good way now sorry lol

righty oh, next job on the list, is to sort out the headlamp bar, and red oxide that etc, and while im there ill probably do the front wings also, (re move old wax oil and plaster them in new wax oil.. and also probably do the front bumper mounts..

then i am going to remove rear wings and sort them out!!

careful your rear wings aren't hiding anything like mine james, as i removed the bolts of one side fine wing came off got to the other side removed 2 bolts then the wing just fell off as some of the areas around the other bolts have rusted away put the wing back on and no one needs to know

James why are you using red oxide on everything? A primer with a high zinc content would be better. Plus red oxide does tend to be pretty soft and can scratch off easily.

cos ive used ot before, and ive had a good expereince with it, ive used it in the marine environment on engines that corrode heavily, and red oxide has stopped it! so i personally rate it, and the guy i spoke to in the shop said hes been in the motoring industry 30 years and highly rates it...

i know thats salesmen talk, and i did ask him abut the zinc stuff they sold, which immay and get some at some stage...

andi know its soft, but i dont mind...

and i just ended up plastiering it everywhere i only intedned to do the floors, but ended up doing the seatbelt mounts and everything!! does look smart though..

right todays job, after doing the below the rear light panel, where it has the lip, i didnt spray upawards enough, to get paint under tehre, so one bit has rusted slightly (noticed a rust stain on the paint) so going to mini wire brush tool it today and re paint, i needed to re paint it anyway so no harm done!!

what a bastard though, didnt really want to do it but hey ho!

well, semi day of fail, got thd tow bar frame from matt arrived today, so painted and got rid of rust, looks amazing, that was the non fail part of today,
the fail part is when i repainted it, water kept coming out the lip, i would dry it, then it would come back again,k so fustrating, and i let it dry all day, having done all that, it finally dried, so i painted, and once again, a buble of water formed from under the paint argh so frigging annoying,

where is it coming from? id rather let it all come out, but if i then go and paint it, and water can get trapped in its obviously not good, where is it coming from do you recon?

todays bits and bobs

removed all 4 wings, scraped the road shite off, and old crusty wax oil (should of left it as it was like crocidle skin, then i painted round the rear wings (inner) with red oxide and did the outside of the toe board with red oxide
i pretended not to see the small hole in the toe board

i also wire brushed away any rust on toeboard / anywhere i came across

now to wax oil over it in about an hour when its dried fully

and then tomrow evening a nother coat of wax oil (ill have to put the wings back on and then take them off tomrow.

i would leave the wingss off for the small journey im doing tomrow, but i better put them on just in case (doing a round trip of a mile!!!)
