Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
The welding can be done with the body on so I'll probably put the body on to take to Gary to do the welding and new floors etx
Garry wants the car on the chassis do aim is to have the car back on the chassis for the weekend.. And drivable!!!
Better get cracking
I'm just going to waxoyl over it all as its been done before... And get the car back on the chassis

If the floors and bulkhead are welded with the body on itll be a total ball ache, then you'll have to remove the body again to waxoyl it again I assume Gary has a chassis he can Jig your shell up on then you can do all your rustproofing bojangles before you mount the body back on its chassis. Otherwise you'll have it back six weeks and you'll be taking the shell off it again. I reckon you should replace the bolts that hold the body down with dzus fasteners or better still, Velcro the amount of times you remove it.

Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
Gary wants it onthe chassis
I'm going to do all my rust proofing bollocks at the back tonight and get the shell back on, on Wednesday as the weather looks nice
Gary is going to paint the floors and bulkhead, so I'll get him to do it with the epoxy mastic stuff (or would galvofroid be better?!)
I've loosely asked him to waxoyl the floors and bulkhead but I can lift the car up onto pallets and walk under to spray waxoyl on the floors It's mainly the bits I cant get to easily whole the shell is on
Anyway I'm quite impressed with myself for getting the shell off on my own!

Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
Well I was umming and arring but just thought ah fuck it More progress tonight. Not much. Will post later. Just been out in the canoe as I've had such a bad day!! My last remaining exhaust stud on the c90 sheered as I pulled out of work... And in my desperation to sort it quickly didn't drill in the centre so have an oval hole. New head time...

Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
So I've put the head on the bike and all is good. Another thing I managed without a zillion questions Anyway a series crap Made progress First coat of waxoyl Ive done the bits that citroen failed to do when the car was done new - in fairness they probably couldn't of done easily..!! Russ'es tip of using a glove to catch LHM worked a treat Cable tied firmly to keep in place I'm aiming for 6 coats of waxoyl. One before work Tomorow
